Larry Russell Steidley, Jr., was born August 27, 1966, in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Larry and Shirley Steidley. Larry grew up and worked on a farm and ranch operation his parents ran. Larry’s parents also had various businesses he participated in, including lime and fertilizer application, home building and a mobile home business.

Larry’s parents also had various businesses he participated in, including lime and fertilizer application, home building and a mobile home business. Larry graduated from Claremore High School in 1984, later earned an associate’s degree in accounting from what was then called Rogers State College (now Rogers State University), and then in 1992 earned a bachelor degree in accounting from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Larry worked several years as an auditor for the Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector’s Office serving under Clifton Scott. Larry attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, earning his J.D. with honors in 1998, and passed the Oklahoma Bar Examination in 1999. Larry married Janice Marie Smith in 1998, and they have three children, Nathan, Matthew and Emily. Larry opened his own firm in 1999, and has served as legal counsel in many different areas, emphasizing in municipal law, water district law and torts. Larry has secured two judgments of note: one in favor of a municipality and its public works authority which terminated unlawful contracts and awarded the city and authority over $2.8 million against persons and entities which misappropriated public property; and, in the other lawsuit Mr. Steidley secured $20 million in judgments against a child molester and his spousal accomplice, this case being currently on appeal. Larry has been a part of several noteworthy and successful appeals pertaining to municipal annexation, and public finance.

Janice attended Charlotte High School, graduating in 1988. She then attended Edison Community College, then transferring to the University of South Florida, graduating in 1995, earning a double maj

Janice attended Charlotte High School, graduating in 1988. She then attended Edison Community College, then transferring to the University of South Florida, graduating in 1995, earning a double major in criminology and psychology. Janice attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, earning her J.D. with honors in 1998, and passed the Oklahoma Bar Examination in 1999. Janice married Larry Steidley in 1998, and they have three children, Nathan, Matthew and Emily. Janice served as an assistant district attorney for Oklahoma’s 12th District from 1999 to 2003, and then entered private practice. Thereafter, Janice became the District Attorney for the 12th District, serving from 2011 to 2014. Since 2014, Janice has served clients as a private practitioner, with an emphasis in criminal, family law, guardianships and adoptions.
